        Furfuryl alcohol is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of furfural. It is an organic chemical raw material widely used in synthetic resins, plastics, coatings and adhesives; it is also a solvent with excellent performance. With the development of industrial production, various industries have put forward different requirements for the quality of furfuryl alcohol and the limit of impurities contained in it. Regarding the quality inspection of furfuryl alcohol, the data reported abroad can be classified into two categories, namely chemical analysis and chromatographic analysis. The current common method in China is to measure the hydroxyl value.
