非甲烷烴是光化學煙霧的重要監測項目之一,國外多采用色譜法測定,并有專用儀器生產,其流程大同小異,基本上是先通過一個空柱測定總烴,再經過一分離柱只測定甲烷,兩者之差即非甲烷烴,以ppm CH_4表示結果。分離的方法有冷凍、反吹、吸附,選擇燃燒和柱分離。實際上它測定的并不全是烴,而是包括了大氣中所有能在氫火焰上給出響應的有機物。
